summer feels

I'm kinda missing summer at this point, now that school has started. It'd be super rad if there was a break in fall where the weather is just right. Because it's been in the high 90's all this past couple weeks, I've been looking for something to slip into and be comfortable. I'm totally in love with this H&M romper. It's my go-to at the moment. Rompers are so great because you don't have to worry about pairing two items and hoping they match.

ALSO!
I made a super adorable Bottlecap pin DIY now up on thesparkpost.com ! Personally, my favorite one is the Pepe one because y'know memes. I like to say, it's the rarest of the rares. Am I right?

hey mickey! school is in session

Wednesday was my first day of school, and this is what I wore. I tried to keep it casual and comfy at the same time. Personally, I don't feel the need to go above and beyond for my first-day outfit because of the commute between classes. Plus, it's still a million degrees outside & I can't really wear a jacket.

Disney always has a special place in my heart so I added some subtle hidden Mickey's with my kicks. Speaking of Disney, D23 was this weekend (today is the last day actually.) and so many exciting things are coming up. I wish I could've been at the Parks & Resort panel! Walt Disney World (WDW)'s Hollywood Studios (it's always gonna be MGM to me) is getting a huge expansion with a Toy Story themed land and a 14-acre expansion to the currently really tiny Star Wars land. I'm super duper stoked. Also at D23, there was mention of the new Disney movies coming out including: Incredibles 2, Toy Story 4, Cars 3, Finding Dory, Moana, Zootopia, etc. I'm probably most excited for Incredibles deux & Moana. C'est tres passionnant!

To Infinity & Boyband

I am so in love with this Harry Styles shirt. It's kinda like a "treat yoself" gift to myself. I saw it in on Redbubble and totally fell in love, combining two of my deepest loves: space & Harry Styles. I totally had to pair it with my Pizza Planet snapback because seriously- who doesn't love Toy Story?

School starts in exactly a week, and I'm so not ready! Summer was not long enough :(

July Favorites! + Writings

As July comes to an end, I decided to share my favorite things from this month. Kinda like when Oprah releases her favorite things list, except I'm not Oprah.

My jams for July included alot of alternative pop that dived into that disco vibe. After Greyson Chance's Thrilla in Manila I've really been into that retro-y pop sound. I'm very excited for his new album "Planet X" after he posted that clip on Instagram of a preview of a couple songs. My favorite artists for this month are definitely: Alessia Cara and Melanie Martinez. I've been following Alessia Cara since I discovered her cover of Sweater Weather and I fell in love. I found Melanie Martinez around the time AHS: Freak Show came out with her songs in the promo. She has this melodic creepy pop that I just adore.

I got this drawing book titled 500 Drawing Prompts. It's basically like "Wreck This Book" but it's all drawing prompts allowing you to let your creativity floooow. Once I get a bulk of it done, I'll definitely share some of my artwork from it.

It's been a long while since I've painted, so I did this painting of Halsey's Ghost music video. It's not my favorite, but I'm trying to experiment with different facial angles, and this is just one of them.

I recently started writing for a lovely online publication titled "The Spark Post" and my first article was published last week. I'm very excited to have the opportunity to write for them.
My first article is on Surviving Summer w Curly Hair . I also had the amazing opportunity to write for a new feminist publication called "Periodical Pages". I did a piece on Pressuring Women in today's society.

with a touch of sporty

I am in love with my new Nike hat. It has magical built-in properties that suck up sweat, so I stay cool all day. I love the whole sporty chic trend. Basically, you can work out and look fashionable at the same time. Plus, even in just casual wear - joggers, baseball caps, basketball shoes - it all works!

It was super duper dreary all day which sucked, but didn't stop me from going outside. As my summer is coming to an end, I created a bucket list of things to complete before summer, and I've done pretty well getting done almost half of it.

a seven nation army couldn't hold me back

Okay, so this outfit reminded me of the song "Seven Nation Army" by The White Stripes. It's probably one of my favorite songs of the early 2000's. When I was younger, I used to play Rock Band with my family and that's basically what immersed me into alternative music. I've grown a strong liking to alternative music now and that game contributed alot to it, along with friends recommending music.

Speaking of music, a favorite band of mine: R5, released an album three days ago called "Sometime Last Night" and it's great. They announced that it was a new sound and I was like heck yeah. It's more of an alternative pop and the whole thing is amazing. My favorites off the album are: "F.E.E.L.G.O.O.D.", "Dark Side", and "Smile". When I was playing the whole album through, I found Ross's little acoustic take at the end of "Repeating Days" and fell in love. The whole band is so talented. Plus, Rydel in "Lightning Strikes" is greeaaat. Sometime Last Night is definitely on my favorite albums list.

sketches from june/july + lip balm review!

I hardly post art on here, which is a shame because in the description it clearly states "ART AND FASHION BLOGGER". I draw and paint and basically create 24/7 and never showcase it on here, so here's a couple sketches that I've done in the past month. I'm not very proud of them, but I haven't done alot because of my short film taking up alot of my time. In the photoset is a bullet wound makeup I did on myself. I dabble in makeup, doing wounds and anything that's gory.

I kinda wish I did more to the sketches now that I'm seeing them again, like add a pattern. They all look so empty to me.

I'm super duper excited because I should be shooting my film within the next month or so. I've put alot of effort and time into this film to make it the very best it can be, so hopefully my vision can be interpreted into the masterpiece I see it as.

------ LIP BALM REVIEW!

SO, I was just scrolling through instagram one day, and this really adorable lip balm company called Atomic Balm Shop was having a contest for a free balm. Usually, I never enter contests, but this time I made an exception because these balms are just too cool. I won, and got my balm in the mail. When I opened the box, I was in awe with how big it was compared to most chapsticks and lip balms. The flavor and color, which you get to pick, is my favorite. I've never been in love with chapstick like this before. Mine is seafoam green with a cotton candy flavor. It smells so good you literally want to eat the whole tube. The tube is covered in a super cute collage, like Mickey Mouse and 90's Gwen Stefani.

All the proceeds go to helping the GOHS Zine Club print their magazine. It's all for a good cause, and I'd definitely purchase from them again as a gift for mes amies. Just getting mine was like a mini Christmas.

You can find Atomic Balm Shop at their website, or their instagram @atomicbalmshop

-Thank you so much Atomic Balm Shop for the amazing balm that's probably gonna last for the next couple of years!
